Welcome to Of Dollars And Data!
I started Of Dollars And Data as a New Year’s Resolution while I was living in Boston at the beginning of 2017. At the time, I had a great job in litigation consulting, but my heart was really in personal finance and investing. So, I made a promise to myself that I would publish one blog post a week until I figured out what to do with my career.
Over the course of my first year writing online, a whole new world opened up to me. I quickly found myself meeting some of the most incredible people in the financial industry both on Twitter and in person. Through this process, I landed a role at Ritholtz Wealth Management. In April 2018, I moved to New York City and haven’t looked back.
Since then I have published over 350,000 words online and have seen my work featured in:
and many others. I’ve also spoken at the following conferences:
- FutureProof Festival (2022)
- Bogleheads Conference (2022)
- FinTwit Summit (2022)
Lastly, after writing for over 5 years I published Just Keep Buying, my first book, in April 2022. The book has since sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into more than 10 languages!
If you are new to my writing, start here with my most popular posts or consider my e-book which has all of my posts from 2017-2022 in an easy-to-read, ad-free format. If you’ve been reading me for a while, subscribe to my weekly newsletter in order to never miss a post.

And much, much more.
The ideas presented on this blog will provide you with a different perspective on money that you can use in your everyday life. I am sure of this because of the hundreds of hours of research that went into the more than 300 posts currently published on this blog.
