Welcome to Of Dollars And Data!
Hello there, I’m Nick Maggiulli (pronounced Ma-Julie), the creator of Of Dollars And Data and the Chief Operating Officer at Ritholtz Wealth Management.
I started Of Dollars And Data as a New Year’s Resolution while I was living in Boston at the beginning of 2017. At the time, I had a great job in litigation consulting, but my heart was really in personal finance and investing. So, I made a promise to myself that I would publish one blog post a week until I figured out what to do with my career.
Over the course of my first year writing online, a whole new world opened up to me. I quickly found myself meeting some of the most incredible people in the financial industry both on Twitter and in person. Through this process, I landed a role at Ritholtz Wealth Management. In April 2018, I moved to New York City and haven’t looked back.
Since then I have published over 350,000 words online and have seen my work featured in:
and many others. I’ve also spoken at the following conferences:
- FutureProof Festival (2022)
- Bogleheads Conference (2022)
- FinTwit Summit (2022)
Lastly, after writing for over 5 years I published Just Keep Buying, my first book, in April 2022. The book has since sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into more than 10 languages!
